Ederseeradweg ER 3

Along the river Eder and Wesebach creek

The 37-km long, large asphalted ER3 loops into the surrounding landscape between Edertal-Hemfurth and Edertal-Bringhausen. It follows the Eder-Radweg (E) which is accompanied by the stations of the Ederauen Erlebnis-Pfad (adventure trail) in the Edertal. The river Eder is said to be the cleanest river in Hesse. Gravel beds, rapids and riverside forests remind us of wild river landscapes.

The ER 3 leaves the E route near Giflitz and follows the Wesetal-Lehrpfad (nature trail) up to Gellershausen. The romantic Wesebachtal is among the most beautiful appearances of the Kellerwald-Edersee Nature Park.

Through the national park

The ER 3 crosses the national park between Gellershausen and Bringhausen, leads through the Tannendriesch and past the “Sauermilchplatz”. Expansive quaint forests interspersed with rocks and boulder fields, clear springs and creeks characterise the reserve.
