WildtierPark Edersee

Our wild animals – right in front of your eyes

While new wilderness is developing in the national park the WildtierPark (wild animal park) makes its contribution to the preservation of our wild animals - because it is a long way to a wilderness where many original inhabitants regain a place to live.

Already today you can familiarise yourself with the domestic wild animals in the WildtierPark. Wolf, lynx and wildcat, European bison, red deer and wild horse live in large enclosures. You should not miss out on the prowling lynx with its brush ears or the lively fish otter family in the cool water and the show feeding of the mysterious wolf pack. The bird of prey air show will remain an unforgettable experience. A Golden Eagle uses the upwind and spirals elegantly up into the sky with the Edersee as a perfect background.

Eurasian Griffon and eagle owl glide on mighty wings over the heads of the fascinated visitors. Anyone who dares may pet the “King of the Night”, the eagle owl.
